January

I certainly cannot complain about the weather this month. It's hard to believe that a northeast winter could be so mild. My parents are in Florida for the monthof January and we are responsible for clearing their driveway if it snows. We've had an easy job! We've only had to go shovel twice and it was super easy. Today, it is actually raining out. I've gotten in 3 decent runs so far this week so that's not too bad. Hoping to get another one in tommorrow, too.

I signed up for a race on St. Patrick's Day..a new one for me..it's a 4 miler. I want to run some new/different races this year. I just found out that my hometown is having it's very first St. Patrick's Day run, too which I would prefer to do. It's being put on by a local restaurant. We are friends with the owner and he hasn't chosen a time yet..sounds like it's not really organized at this point, but if the timing works out, I may even do both..who knows. We'll have to see. It's a big irish St. Patrick's Day run..he's calling it a Kilt Run with green beer at the finish..sounds like a good time :)

It has been a pretty quiet month for me. I'm working on a few projects around the house..this is what happens when you are home all day..you look at your house and want to change everything! I have something exciting that I'm working on..I'm going to try to start a small side business painting furniture. I hate to even go out on a limb and say it because that's really putting myself out there, but it's not going to work unless I go public with it. I'm working on a new blog for it..once I have some more content, I will share..

In the meantime, I'm trying to motivate my husband to start half marathon training..we have to pick a race first. We have it narrowed it down to 3 options. I have a 16 week plan that I'd like to use. We can probably consodiate it down to a little less than 16, but we'll see. It all depends on which race he picks. I'll keep you posted.
