What a great weekend..the only not great thing is I didn't get to run. I had planned to do 7 miles yesterday, but woke up to pouring rain & wind. That run didn't happen. Since today was Easter and I was cooking, there was no way I could squeeze a run in so now I'm planning to do the 7 tomorrow (Monday). But, of course more rain is forecasted. I'm still hoping to get some kind of run in.
I've been trying to break the 20 mile mark these last 2 weeks and I've come sooo close..but no cigar. I'll give it a try this week again though. I know 20 miles is nothing great for a whole week of running, but that's just where I'm at right now..
I've been really trying to be careful about my eating. I've been using a great app for my iPhone called My Fitness Pal. It's basically a calorie tracker. I've never in my life counted calories, but my husband has been doing P90X and he has been using the app (on his droid). He got me interested in it so I decided to give it a try. This app makes it so easy to keep track of your food and calories (& even exercise!). I love it.
I racked up some calories this weekend..in fact, it was so bad I didn't even punch them in. It started on Friday..we always have homemade pizza on Friday nights and it was so good that I ate way more than I planned. I usually consider Friday night a "cheat" night so I didn't give it much thought. But, yesterday we went to a friend's house for dinner and had some really delicious lasagna followed by cookies and rice krispy treats! Then, of course there was Easter dinner today which was so good, but so fattening. G & K brought one of the most delicious cheesecakes I've ever had. It was from a place in NYC called Junior's. It was one of the best ever. But, I didn't stop at the cheesecake..I made crustless pumpkin pie. There were cookies & cupcakes, too. Oh boy!
I really hope I can get in a good run tomorrow. I need to run off a few of these calories!
