It has been raining here for days and finally it stopped. This afternoon it was sunny and in the 60's. It may have reached 70. All I know is it was beautiful out and I LOVED it!
I worked everyday this week just so I could leave at noon today and take tomorrow off (kids are off tomorrow & all next week). I knew I wanted to go out for a run this afternoon and honestly it was one of the best runs I've had in a long time. It may have had a little to do with the nice weather, but part of it was because I ran a new route. It's always nice doing something different instead of the same old thing.
I've been running with people so much lately that I've almost forgotten what it's like to run on my own. I used to not like running with anyone because I liked the alone time. Lately though, I've preferred going with someone. I've come close to even bagging runs just because I was going it alone.
I was pretty sure I'd be on my own today, but because the weather was going to be so beautiful I was really looking forward to it. Plus, I wanted to try a new 5 mile loop and I had some good stuff to listen to on my iPod so I was READY! The combination of those things made for an excellent run. One of my faster 5 milers. It made me so happy.
I really started to think about marathon training today. I got the schedule out and figured out when our summer vacation is going to be. I'll have to do some pretty long solo runs(unless my husband decides he suddenly wants to be a long distance runner and that's probably not going to happen). Actually, he has been running quite a bit lately, but he's a 3 mile kinda guy. He's only doing it to lose a few pounds. He never stops telling me how much he HATES to run and he can't understand how I can run mile after mile...anyway, running the distances shouldn't be a problem on vacation since Maryland is flatter than flat. Love that!
Still trying to sell our house...we may have a buyer...they're getting approved at a bank before they make the offer. Smart. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon. Time is running out!
well, that's about it. Easter blessings to all my running friends :)

Good luck w/ your potential buyer and great job on your run! I ran 8 miles on Monday in the rain...not so smart since I got a wicked blister from being soaked and it has sidelined me this week...but I am still enjying this weather. You will kick butt in MD on your long runs. The route to Glen Riddle and back is so peaceful and being w/ your family for the week(although it is great) will make you love the 1-2 hrs of ahhh...silence. That's how it was for me anywya. I'd come back ready to start the day!
